Beyond Berawa

One direction.
A day well spent.

Bali rewards a little breathing room. These routes leave time for a good lunch, a conversation and an unexpected stop, with enough detail to turn an idea into a day out.

Tell our team your interests, children’s ages, walking comfort and preferred return time. They can help arrange a driver and check the reservations that matter.

01

Ubud · Full day · Art & culture

See Bali through its artists.

Start with the paintings, then meet the making. Give one museum and one workshop your attention, with a proper lunch in between.

Berawa → ARMA Museum → lunch → a booked cultural workshop → villa

  1. Morning

Explore ARMA’s collection and gardens. If your interests lean towards a quieter museum visit, make Neka your museum choice for the day.

  2. After lunch

Book an ARMA cultural workshop, with options such as painting, batik, offering making or music. Choose around your group’s interests and ages.

  3. Before heading home

Leave space for a café or a short browse. Keep the day in one part of Ubud rather than chasing every landmark.

02

West coast · Shorter outing · Coast & culture

A sea temple, before sundown.

Make Tanah Lot an outing in its own right. Walk the grounds, take in the offshore temple setting and stay for the changing light if the weather cooperates.

Berawa → Tanah Lot coastal viewpoints → Batu Bolong temple area → dinner back towards Berawa

  1. Set out

Ask your driver to plan an afternoon arrival with time for an unhurried visit. Sunset brings more visitors, so leave a traffic buffer.

  2. At the coast

Explore the maintained visitor paths and neighbouring Batu Bolong temple area. Follow local instructions, barriers and sea conditions.

  3. Evening

Return towards Berawa for dinner. A confirmed local performance can be an alternative, if that is what you would most enjoy.

03

Tabanan · Full day · Rice fields & walking

Let the landscape set the pace.

Give Jatiluwih more than a photo stop. Walk through the working rice landscape and learn how the subak irrigation system connects water, farming and community.

Berawa → Jatiluwih → a walk with a local guide → lunch overlooking the fields → villa

  1. Morning

Leave Berawa with your driver and make the rice terraces the destination. Agree the length and difficulty of your walk with a local guide.

  2. On foot

Take a short loop or a longer walk according to your group. Leave time to notice the irrigation channels, farming activity and views.

  3. Lunch

Choose a table overlooking the fields, then return to the villa without adding another far-flung region.

04

Bukit Peninsula & Jimbaran · Full day & evening · Coast, performance & seafood

Clifftop light. Supper on the sand.

Let the south coast have the whole day. Walk above the ocean, choose a Kecak performance if it suits your group, then finish over grilled seafood in Jimbaran.

Berawa → lunch on the Bukit Peninsula → Uluwatu → optional Kecak → Jimbaran dinner → villa

  1. Start gently

Book your driver for the return as well as the outward journey. Choose one lunch stop on the Bukit Peninsula.

  2. Late afternoon

Walk Uluwatu’s visitor paths. If attending Kecak, book it in advance and allow an unhurried arrival; temple entry and performance tickets are separate.

  3. After the performance

Continue to a reserved Jimbaran dinner, allowing for the performance finish and transfer. An earlier dinner without Kecak makes a shorter evening.

05

Sanur · Flexible day · Waterfront, art & lunch

Take a gentler line along the coast.

Trade the surf coast for Sanur’s waterfront. Choose a comfortable section to walk, stop for lunch and add some art if the mood takes you.

Berawa → Sanur promenade → optional Museum Le Mayeur → lunch → villa

  1. Morning

Agree separate drop-off and collection points with your driver so a waterfront walk does not become a long return march.

  2. A little culture

If opening arrangements suit your date, visit Museum Le Mayeur. Check before setting out rather than building the day around an unconfirmed visit.

  3. Afternoon

Stay for a leisurely lunch, a little more promenade time or indoor browsing at ICON Bali if showers arrive.

06

Nusa Lembongan · Optional full day · Boat & island

Across the water, without the rush.

Choose one island and one thing you really want to do. A mangrove outing, guided snorkelling when conditions allow, or an island lunch can anchor a lovely day.

Villa → confirmed Sanur check-in point → Lembongan → one main activity & lunch → return boat → villa

  1. Before booking

Arrange both sailings, Bali transfers and island transport. Confirm the exact check-in office, departure terminal, island arrival harbour and return instructions.

  2. On the island

Keep one main activity and leave room for lunch. Do not add Nusa Penida or every viewpoint to the same day.

  3. Return

Work backwards from your confirmed return check-in. Leave a buffer and reconfirm the sailing with your operator.

The small details make the day

Before you
head out.

Keep the map realistic.

Choose one region, allow for traffic and agree your return with the driver. We have deliberately kept Ubud, the west coast and the southern peninsula as different days.

Confirm the essentials.

Check opening arrangements, ticket conditions, workshop ages, accessibility and pickup points. Share allergies before lunch bookings. Carry suitable footwear, sun protection, water and a rain layer.

Leave room to change.

Weather, ceremonies, road conditions and sea conditions can change a plan. Keep a lighter alternative and let local advice shape the final route.

Driver hire, admissions, guides, meals, boat tickets and activities are arranged separately unless your booking specifically includes them. Our team can help confirm availability and costs before you commit.

Guide checked 17 October 2026. Routes are our suggested plans. Follow current venue, local and operator advice.
